Yup. 'Please don't pick on us' all over that interview. 'Unity 'let's all stick together' - all the usual old bollocks.
I DO like the fact that he's tried to defend himself against the claim that he's a secret Cardiff fan because it's a specific claim the Real West Ham Fans organisation have made against him. It shows they are getting under his skin.
What he needs to understand is that if the toxic atmosphere ends up playing a part in our relegation it will be squarely down to him and the lies he's told and the fact that all their fan feedback ('95% of fans want us to move to Stratford' etc) were a puppet mouthpiece of their own invention.
He's mugged us off for the last time. How does the old saying Go? 'Cheat me once, shame on you. Cheat me twice, shame on me'.

The most important thing for Sullivan as he states is for the fans to get behind the team to help them win, because Sullivan hopes that this storm will blow over, many will have short memories and wins or points will keep the status quo.
I am not advocating that the fans should do different as I want us to win.

Didn't say much about our utter failure to sign players in the window or that him and his mate Brady's gobshite unprofessional behaviour has stopped us signing players from certain clubs.
Looks like he's distancing himself from being accountable for transfers but we all know he can't help himself there.

The only thing he promised was a new system for recruting players under a new head of recruitment. Well we need a new Head of Player Recruitment because the last one took the fall for your no African policy sully.
What amazed me was he also said we're not just going to buy anyone without watching them first like that was ground breaking. Seriously have we really been buying players without scouting them, fucking amazing if we have.

The announcement of a proper department for recruitment is a fantastic announcement and a commitment to modernising the club. Obviously I have to celebrate that as I've been calling for it for so many years.
Whether that integrates and is successful is a whole other issue though. I fundamentally do not agree with the manager picking the sales and signings - it doesn't work in modern football.
